This is the story of a young woman living in the Midwest, attempting to have a peaceful, normal life just like anyone else. Coworkers and neighbors know very little about her, assuming her to be reclusive and odd. They are unaware of the gruesome secrets she hides from every day. There are a few, however, who do know her secrets, but they are missing one important detail... where she is currently hiding. For many years she has eluded capture, but her history is about to catch up with her in more ways than one. Not only is the darkness of her past about to ascend, her past will also become her savior. Loving Lily witnesses one woman’s struggle to overcome a terrible past and internal demons in order to be free to love and to live.

How many times have you looked in the mirror on a bad day and said, “Ugh!”. How often do you blame a failure on something you lack, throwing your self-worth under the rug to be forgotten?

Elizabeth, known to some as Lily, didn’t just fail at work or have a bad day. She had a childhood of indescribable horrors that taught her to think the absolute worst about herself. Propelled by fear and determination Elizabeth survived, but she grew up too young and had to find her own way while still a child.

When we meet Elizabeth she thinks that just maybe she has finally found a safe and normal life. However, suddenly her old nightmares come alive again bringing not just unparalleled terror, but also a surprise. In Loving Lily, we watch as Elizabeth’s past, that is about to be her undoing is also the key to her salvation….and perhaps also, to her heart.

Elizabeth’s battle of learning how to love, and trust, not just others, but also herself is a journey many of us can relate to.

Writing this book was not therapeutic for me, exorcising the demons of my own past, but it was a thrilling ride that I hope so much that you enjoy too!
