My name is Lauren and I'm a reader, writer and Etsy store owner from a country
town in South-West Sydney, Australia.
One of my
favourite pastimes is curling up with a good book and escaping into an unknown
world with relatable and interesting characters. I love to surround myself with
inspirational quotes, romantic excerpts and anything else book-related.
In fact, this

For as long as
I can remember I've enjoyed reading and writing, which culminated in creating a
book review blog The Australian Bookshelf and
has been up and running for several years now. It's a place where I chat about
books and hone my blogging and writing skills. It's also a place where I can
chat, debate and be challenged by readers from all around the world.

Etsy Store was developed as a creative outlet to combine my love of reading and
writing and find alternate ways to share this with like-minded people. A
natural progression from blogging about books to hand typing my favourite
quotes from my favourite books!

My store has
really evolved over the past nine months and I've loved the opportunity to push
my creative boundaries and find new products to offer customers. Hand typed
bookmark quotes are a particular favourite of mine. I've always been a little
obsessed with collecting bookmarks; I tend to buy them on my travels,
collecting them from different countries and cities. When I pick up a new book
to read I select a bookmark based on what fits the mood of the story. Bookish
Gifts now has a range of hand typed bookmarks displaying bookish quotes from
popular novels such as Outlander, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Pride and
